Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his first title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging season, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since March of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
