The European Union could “act quickly and firmly” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” travel bans issued by the United States against five Europeans working on fighting digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the visa restrictions targeted individuals that were at the heart of campaigns to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
